Samantha Jane, vocalist
Samantha Jane is a vocalist in the Sarasota/Tampa metropolitan area. She performs a mix of jazz standards and popular music and her vocal style is best described as a blend of Laufey and Etta James.
Samantha grew up in England and started singing from a young age, performing on stage in bands and choral groups. She moved to the States and joined the Magic of Manatee, a competing barbershop chorus based in Bradenton, before briefly relocating to the Hudson Valley, NY, where she found jazz. There she formed the Samantha Jane Band with vibraphone player Kurt Herman, and together they recorded two albums: Samantha Jane - Catskill Vibe, and Samantha Jane & Kurt Herman - All the Things You Are.
In 2024 she returned to the Sunshine State and continued to impress audiences, singing at the Sarasota Art Museum, Art Ovation, the Sarasota Jazz Club’s Jazz on the Water Event, Largo Live! and other local venues.
